No trip to Washington DC is complete without exploring some of the most influential political institutions in the country and engaging in a debate about American politics on this 2-Hour Politics & Pints Tour—all under the guidance of a local guide/discussion mediator and with a celebratory drink to settle your differences at the end, of course.
Your guide/mediator/conversation facilitator will take you to the iconic U.S. Capitol Building first, where you’ll learn about the DC’s origins, the inner workings of the U.S. government, and some of the more controversial politicians and policies in U.S. history as you stand right outside the building that started it all.
Next, you’ll get to see the Supreme Court, where all of the most important judicial decisions are argued and made, and the Library of Congress, the official research library of the U.S. Congress and the oldest federal cultural institution in the U.S.
Meeting point:
In front of the Capitol Building at the corner of First St NE and East Capitol St NE
Ending point:
Molly Malones, 713 8th St SE, Washington, DC
