Visit over 3,500 animals from 6 continents of the world at San Diego Zoo Safari Park – just 35 miles north of downtown San Diego. You’ll get to see the animals run, roam, prowl, and fly around in the park’s large and open naturalistic settings.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park features over 1,800 acres of sprawling scenery that closely mimics the animals’ natural habitats for an iconic animal viewing experience.

Learn all about a variety of wild and endangered animals from all corners of the world through entertaining and educational shows and demonstrations, on-hand staff and specialists that care for the animals every day and are there to answer any questions, fascinating exhibits and more. One of the park’s highlights is their dedication to animal and environment conservation; see how wildly successful the zoo’s own California condor breeding program is and visit the world’s largest veterinary hospital.

Getting In

Skip the main ticket line! Proceed directly to the turnstile for park entry and present your pass for admission.

An ID will be required when using your pass at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The last name of purchaser must match the name on ID.


Offer not valid for parking, special ticketed events, or rides. Not responsible for lost or stolen cards/tickets. Hand stamp and ticket required for re-entry.

Driving Directions

From the North (Southbound): From I-5 (Orange County, Los Angeles), take the State Route 78 East and exit at Oceanside. Proceed East to I-15 South and exit at Via Rancho Parkway. Follow the signs to the Park. From I-15 (Riverside), exit at Via Rancho Parkway and follow the signs east to the Park. From the South (Northbound): From State Route 163 (downtown San Diego, Mission Valley), proceed to I-15 to the Via Rancho Parkway exit.Go east and follow signs to the Park. From I-5 or 805 (Mexico), proceed to State Route 163, then to I-15 North. Exit at the Via Rancho Parkway and follow signs east.
